CONNX Solutions and Martin Group Enter Partnership to Provide High-Performance Ad Hoc Reporting Solution

CONNX Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of simplified data access and integration software solutions, announces today its partnership with Martin Group, a leading-edge provider of Operation Support Systems and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) for the telecommunications industry, to provide a high-performance ad hoc reporting solution.

CONNX Solutions’ flagship product, CONNX, runs on a distributed SQL engine that is unique to CONNX and enables users to gain access to .NET-, JDBC-, OLE DB-, or ODBC-driven data. The CONNX technology provides real time access to disparate data sources from the desktop and helps customers unlock their data quickly and easily, making it easier to receive a visible return on investment.

Another benefit of the partnering of CONNX Solutions and Martin Group is the speed with which OSS and BSS customers will be able to create ad hoc reports. Since CONNX uses resources from both the client and server machines, performance levels are automatically elevated. And once the data has been collected into a CONNX Data Dictionary, reports can be created in any of a variety of standard SQL applications, including Microsoft Office and Crystal Reports, to name a few. Users also will be able to integrate with and access enterprise data through any of the more than 30 relational or non-relational databases supported by CONNX, all through a single connection.

“The ODBC driver and the support I have received from Martin Group have allowed me to access data from VMS (Martin Group’s USOC-based Customer Care and Billing Solution) on my schedule and build customized and meaningful reports based on my criteria,” says Bob Marcotte, Systems Analyst and Developer at Kerman Telephone and an early adopter of the CONNX ad hoc reporting solution. “Now, I have the answers at my fingertips! I can handle report requests and questions from Marketing to Accounting. This has enabled us to analyze data and make better business decisions quicker than ever. The value of this driver is a no-brainer.”

“The CONNX Solutions and Martin Group partnership offers a timely, comprehensive, and integrated solution to today’s expert service providers,” says Shirley McKinney, Director of Business Development at CONNX. “With CONNX, Martin Group customers can preserve their IT investments, be able to position themselves to implement more efficient processes, and experience expanded time savings. This partnership enables the penetration of our innovative and exciting tool into a vertical market: the telecommunications industry.”

CONNX acts as a reusable data access framework for projects throughout the enterprise. CONNX supports Adabas (currently on OS/390, z/OS, and Microsoft platforms); Microsoft SQL Server (on all platforms); Sybase (on all platforms); Informix (on all platforms); C-ISAM (on Linux, AIX, Sun, Solaris, SCO, and Windows operating systems); IBM VSAM (on z/OS, OS/390, MVS, and VSE platforms); IBM DB2 (on all platforms); Oracle (on all platforms); RMS, Rdb and Codasyl DBMS (on OpenVMS and VMS platforms); PostGreSQL (on all platforms); Dataflex; POWERflex; and any OLE DB, ODBC, JDBC, or .NET data source.
