Solution Overview
Allegra software uses the RMS database to store your information. CONNX provides easy, fast, secure, and affordable access to the RMS database. InfoNaut Professional is an easy-to-use desktop query/reporting tool. CONNX Solutions has preconfigured and bundled CONNX for RMS and InfoNaut specifically for use with your Allegra information. We have also developed special pricing to make CONNX software even more attractive and affordable.
RMS Overview
With CONNX, a single metadata model can be created that spans all enterprise data sources and applications requiring data access. The result is an enterprise-wide view of data that provides a reusable, standards-based framework for information access.
CONNX for RMS supports rotated arrays, which simplifies the use of large arrays (sometimes called Occurs clauses). CONNX accomplishes this by returning each column of the array as a separate row. The CONNX Data Dictionary offers support for multiple record layouts of the same RMS file, based on a “record type” field. Data sources can be imported manually or directly from VAX BASIC, COBOL FD (File Definition) files, Digital Common Data Dictionaries, DIBOL, SCT, Powerhouse PDL, and formatted RMS text files. Over three hundred VAX/ALPHA data types are supported. CONNX supports redefines of both key and non-key areas of RMS files.

InfoNaut Overview
InfoNaut Professional is a
desktop query/reporting tool that enables end users to quickly access
information from enterprise databases. InfoNaut was designed to meet the needs
of CONNX customers who wish to access information simply and quickly and to
present reports in a readable format. Queries and SQL statements created in
InfoNaut Professional can be saved as XML files, Microsoft Query .dqy files,
Microsoft Excel .xls files, HTML pages, Active Server Pages (.asp), .csv files,
.sql files, and .txt files.

| The Report Writer feature of InfoNaut Professional
enables users to create reports from table information or queries. Reports can
be used for simple or formal presentations and can be quickly customized using
the range of formatting tools.

| Reports created with the InfoNaut Report Writer can be
saved as Adobe Acrobat .pdf files, HTML pages, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets,
Rich Text Format files, .tif files, .csv files, and .txt files.
