CONNX N-Tier licensing
provides
unlimited user access to database application servers driven
by CONNX. This licensed is purchased individually for
each server and has no impact on your existing CONNX
concurrent user license. With the N-Tier license, you can
individually license new middle-tier servers without any
changes to your current CONNX deployment.
CONNX N-Tier Architecture
If your organization uses CONNX-driven
database applications or Web services, you may find that
the CONNX N-Tier license provides a cost-effective way
to provide unlimited user connections to your middle-tier
application server.
Through Linked Servers, SQL Server
provides the interface necessary to make CONNX data sources
available within the SQL Server environment. Oracle
provides the same type of connectivity on the Windows
platform through Heterogeneous Services. If your users
are accessing CONNX data sources through these interfaces
in large numbers, the N-Tier license will save you money.
The CONNX JDBC server is another example
of how you can benefit from server-based unlimited user
licensing. By running the N-Tier license on your CONNX
JDBC gateway server, you can build and connect with any
number of Java-based CONNX applications. With N-Tier,
the only limit to the number of CONNX client connections
is what your gateway server's hardware can handle. Check

If you deploy applications based on these
technologies to medium-size or larger groups of users
incorporating
CONNX as a data provider, you'll quickly discover why an
unlimited user license makes so much sense. This type
of licensing removes the restrictions that are inherent with
concurrent user licenses and enables your applications to
match the power of your server's hardware.
