CONNX Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of simplified data access and integration software solutions, announces its partnership with Software AG, an expert in world-class enterprise modernization and information integration. Software AG partnered with CONNX Solutions to allow standard SQL applications, such as Microsoft Office, to quickly and easily access data stored in Adabas. Software AG chose CONNX’s technology to help customers unlock data stored in their Adabas systems, making that information more accessible and useful for organizations and increasing their Return on Assets.
By using the new tool, called Adabas SQL Gateway or CONNX for Adabas, customers can boost productivity, reduce information requests to IT from business users, and enable authorized users to query Adabas data independently. They can also integrate with and access enterprise data through any of the more than thirty relational or non-relational databases supported by CONNX, all through a single connection.

Adabas SQL Gateway, also called CONNX for Adabas, was released on May 21, 2004. The initial release supports Adabas on the IBM OS/390 and z/OS platforms, as well as Adabas for Windows.
