CONNX Solutions Releases CONNX 9.0 SP1; Enhanced functionality and additional platform support: RMS on OpenVMS/Itanium, and Adabas on VSE

CONNX Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of simplified data access management and enterprise information integration software solutions, today announces the release of CONNX 9.0 SP1, the latest version of its flagship product. The new release contains many new upgrade possibilities, along with new features, more enhancements to the CONNX Data Synchronization tool, and additions to the ever-increasing list of CONNX data types.

New platform functionality for RMS running on the VMS/Itanium 64-bit platform should guarantee increased performance capability for those who have been waiting to migrate their RMS data off a VAX or Alpha platform and transition into higher speeds and improved performance rates.

CONNX Data Synchronization Tool
The CONNX Data Synchronization tool was first introduced with CONNX 8.8. This software system allows for automatic creation of reporting servers, load balancing, and heavily automated database migrations, as well as many other potential uses. In CONNX 9.0 SP1, many performance enhancements and synchronization-support features have been added that increase value and speed. Many more new data types CONNX now has nearly 450 data types, many of which have been drawn to customer specifications.

New CONNX Data Dictionary format
The CONNX Data Dictionary (CDD) format has been enhanced to increase performance and speed.

“In addition to addressing several customer-specific issues, this Service Pack also introduces support for several new features, including Itanium support, support for Adabas running on VSE, and several new features, not only in Data Synchronization but in the CONNX core as well. I am especially excited about the enhancements we have made to the CDD (CONNX Data Dictionary) format.
